Dr. Fabiana Csukasi - Members Duran Lab
Dr.Jesús Arcedo-Duran Lab

Iván Durán

Principal Investigator

Dr. Duran´s work is based in a precision medicine approach to uncover mechanisms of disease and develop precision therapies for skeletal disorders and inflammation. Dr. Duran obtained his PhD in the University of Malaga, Spain. Then he for 10 years in the US, first at Cornell University and later at the University of California Los Angeles…

Fabiana Csukasi

Principal Investigator

Dr. Csukasi obtained her PhD in 2010 at the University of Malaga, Spain, where she studied how signaling pathways control developmental programs. After finishing her PhD, she moved to the USA to continue my career as a postdoc at Boyce Thompson Institute in Ithaca (NY), the University of Southern California (USC)…

Jesús Arcedo Rabaneda

PhD Candidates

Mr. Arcedo is a PhD Candidate student mesenchymal signaling pathways that mediate metabolic skeletal disease based in DEPTOR.

Dr. Sanda Escalante - Duran Lab
Daniel Vázquez Calero-Duran Lab
Daniel Vázquez Calero-Duran Lab
Ivan-Delgado-Duran-Lab

Sandra Escalante

PhD Candidates

Ms. Escalante is a PhD Candidate applying tissue engineering to organoid modeled inflammatory and skeletal disease in search of new therapeutic approaches.

Daniel Vázquez Calero

Clinical Vet

Mr. Vazquez is a successful veterinary clinician and director of Aracavian Clinic and our veterinary resident, expert in small animal manipulation, analysis and surgery. He leads a project on aviary hyperostosis as both vet and human health model and he also preparing his PhD dissertation in Duran´s lab.

Lidiia Zhytnik

Postdoctoral fellow MSCA EU program

Dr. Zhytnik is a Curie Postdoctoral researcher working on developing a Gene therapy for Osteogenesis Imperfecta using patient-derived bone organoids. She earned her PhD at the University of Tartu, Estonia and previously completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Amsterdam UMC before joining our group.

Ivan Delgado

Researcher

Mr. Delgado is a fellow from the “INVESTIGO program” who participates in both wet lab and bioinformatics projects to expand the Multiomic Skeletal Atlas. He specializes in single cell analysis applied to interactive graphical representation.

Previous Members

Dr. José Miguel Pérez Tejeiro - Duran Lab
Dr. Gustavo Rico - Memebers Duran Lab

José Miguel Pérez Tejeiro

PhD Candidates

Mr. Perez-Tejeiro is a FPU PhD candidate studying bone specific therapies and tissue targeting through differential expression of skeletal genes. He is also developing bioinformatic tools to standardize massive sequencing data.

Gustavo Rico

Postdoct

Dr. Rico is a CIBER-BBN postdoc in our lab specialized in biomaterials and in vivo testing of skeletal therapeutic approaches. He is currently involved in two projects exploring new therapeutic approaches to inflammatory diseases like COVID19 and signaling pathways connecting perivascular matrix with connective differentiation.
